Operational Planner / Buyer (Manufacturing)

Job Description

Job Summary:
To manage the availability of material through the proper material master data setup, capacity planning and purchase order management with internal and external suppliers and mitigate in case of supply risks and issues.

Your role:

• Places Purchase Orders with suppliers and monitors the outstanding order package in terms of delivery time, quality and price.

• Changes quantities within the framework of stock order levels and assignments by combining several orders for one supplier.

• Resolves Purchase Order issues, including e.g. GR-IR mismatches, missing Invoices, Under Delivery, Over Delivery, etc.

• Executes operational procurement master data set-up and maintenance.

• Forecast communication with suppliers, including validation, including for Supplier Managed/Owned Forecast.

• Tracks order confirmation, monitors open order position, expedites if needed and keeps SAP updated.

• Identifies material shortage risks and takes action to mitigate.

• Manage return orders to suppliers, mitigation and eliminate root causes of availability issues.

You're the right fit if:

• At least 3-5 years of progressively responsible work experience and positions.

• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Expertise in SAP (PP and MM modules).

• Mandarin speaker & Master Power BI are an advantage.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
