We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher who is committed to excellence in teaching and to fostering students’ intellectual curiosity and scientific inquiry. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective chemistry lessons to secondary school students. The role focuses on building students’ understanding of scientific concepts, laboratory skills, analytical thinking, and real-world applications of chemistry while fostering a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Teaching & Learning :

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver Chemistry lessons aligned with the school curriculum

  • Teach core topics such as atomic structure, chemical reactions, periodic trends, stoichiometry acids and bases, thermochemistry, and organic chemistry (as applicable)

  • Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments

  • Apply varied instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs

  • Integrate real-life applications and scientific inquiry into lessons

• Laboratory Management :

  • Plan, prepare and supervise laboratory experiments and practical activities

  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and chemicals

  • Enforce laboratory safety rules and procedures

  • Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory materials and supplies

• Assessment & Reporting :

  • Design formative and summative assessments, including practical examinations

  • Evaluate and monitor students’ academic progress

  • Provide constructive feedback to students

  • Prepare academic reports and communicate progress to parents

• Student Development & School Contribution :

  • Foster critical thinking, problem solving, and scientific literacy

  • Maintain a positive, inclusive and disciplined classroom environment

  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities

  • Support science fairs, competitions, or STEM-related programs

    
    

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s (S1) or Master’s Degree (S2) in Chemistry, Science Education, or related field from a reputable university

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school delivering an international curriculum (IGCSE, AS/A Level, or IB)

• Fluent and active English language (min. TOEFL score : 550)

• Familiar with the Syllabus and able to understand Lesson Plan

• A genuine passion for education and a strong commitment to student learning and development

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with parents

• Strong interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively as part of a team

• Self-motivated, proactive, creative, and able to manage responsibilities independently

• Pleasant, professional demeanor and positive attitude

• Proficient in educational technology and digital learning platforms

• Willing to be based in Depok, West Java

• Available for working in 2026/2027 Academic Year
