Job Purpose: Ensure SMT (Surface Mount Technology) production for electronic and cable harness assemblies meets company and customer quality standards. Monitor, analyze, and improve product and process quality through inspections, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Quality Control: Monitor SMT processes, perform inspections, analyze defects, and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with SOPs and IPC/WHMA-A-620 / IPC-A-610 standards. Quality Assurance: Support ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 systems, audits, and document reviews (Control Plans, FMEAs, Work Instructions). Data & Reporting: Collect and analyze quality data (defect rates, FPY, rework), use SPC tools, and report performance trends. Problem Solving & Improvement: Lead 8D/RCA investigations, drive process improvements (Kaizen, Poka-Yoke), and support engineering changes. Collaboration: Work with production, engineering, and suppliers to ensure quality and address customer concerns. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering (or related field). 3+ years in SMT or electronics quality (preferably cable harness/automotive). Knowledge of SMT process, soldering, and assembly standards (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620). Familiar with quality tools: 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, Control Plan. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficient in English and MS Office.
