Main duties / functions

The Engineering Manager will lead and coordinate all engineering activities related to the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) plant project in Egypt.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate all engineering disciplines involved in the SAF plant project.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are technically compliant, complete and issued according to the project schedule.
• Act as the primary technical interface between engineering contractors, subcontractors, vendors and the Client.
• Review, validate and approve engineering documentation including technical specifications, design calculations, drawings and reports.
• Ensure alignment and coordination between engineering disciplines throughout project execution.
• Manage engineering interfaces between project stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve technical issues impacting engineering deliverables and project timelines.
• Support procurement activities by validating technical documentation and vendor proposals.
• Monitor engineering progress and report status to the Project Director / Project Manager.
• Ensure engineering work complies with applicable industry standards, project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients, contractors and project partners.
• Support construction and commissioning phases by providing technical guidance where required.

• Work under project deadlines and schedule constraints

Physical requirements

• Ability to travel internationally when required
• Ability to attend site visits and technical inspections

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Process Engineering or related discipline).
Master’s degree is an advantage.

Specialized knowledge / experience

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in engineering within the energy, oil & gas, refinery, or biofuels sector.
• Experience in large industrial plant or EPC projects.
• Experience in biofuels, SAF, refining, petrochemical or chemical processing plants is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in engineering coordination and multidisciplinary engineering management.
• Proven experience reviewing and approving engineering deliverables.
• Ability to manage technical interfaces between contractors and stakeholders.
• Experience working in international project environments.

Accreditation / certification

• Professional Engineering certification is an advantage.
• Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is beneficial.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 30 months
