We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in both manual and automation testing and is passionate about ensuring the delivery of high-quality software. You'll be a key part of our agile Scrum team, working closely with developers and product managers to identify and resolve issues early in the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and Execute Test Plans: Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality and functionality.
• Conduct Manual and Automated Testing: Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing, to identify bugs and defects.
• Bug Tracking and Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using Jira, ensuring clear and detailed communication of issues to the development team.
• API and Database Testing: Perform API testing using Postman to ensure backend services function as expected. Query our MongoDB database to validate data integrity.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work proactively within a Scrum team, participating in daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest and implement improvements to our QA processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills & Qualifications :

Experience: Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a strong preference for candidates experienced in manual and automation testing.

Technical Proficiency:

• Proficiency in API testing with Postman.
• Experience with bug-tracking and project management tools, specifically Jira.
• Familiarity with database querying and concepts, particularly MongoDB.
• A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Scrum methodology.
• Experience with test automation frameworks like Cypress (Preferred)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Datadog (Preferred)

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• A proactive and curious mindset, always looking for ways to break things and make them better.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
