BACKGROUND

As part of its commitment to deliver education to more students in more parts of the world, Navitas has joined with Deakin University (AU) and Lancaster University (UK) in an innovative partnership to manage and operate a new joint university campus in Indonesia.

Bringing together a combined reputation for world-leading education and research, and extensive experience in international education, the Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia campus will deliver the highest quality, affordable educational opportunities to Indonesian and international students, while also working to support the education, research and human capital priorities of the Indonesian Government. It will also advance Indonesia’s reputation as an appealing international education destination.

The Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia (DLI) campus will open to students in September 2024, offering five dual undergraduate programs in the areas of Business and Information Technology. The dual degree programs combine subjects from undergraduate programs at both universities, enabling students to achieve two individual degree qualifications (two testamurs) in just three years of undergraduate study. The campus will also offer ELICOS courses and a one-year foundation year as a direct pathway to the three-year undergraduate programs.

The Indonesia campus will be located in Bandung, West Java, which is recognised as an important and vibrant location for higher education in Indonesia. Students and teachers will be part of a thriving education community attracting diverse student cohorts from across Indonesia and globally.

Navitas as a Global Education provider will lead the operational delivery of the campus, building on its existing partnerships with both universities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Marketing Officer will work collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the wider recruitment and admissions team in the execution and evaluation of marketing strategies that contribute to the growth of student enrolments for DLI.

A key focus of this role will be driving the digital assets including the website, social channels, online analytics and performance, digital design and video production, as well as assisting team members with day-to-day marketing tasks and supporting marketing projects and activities as requested, to drive increased student enrolments. This will be achieved through the development and management of appropriate digital and visual materials, attendance at key events and expos, responding to enquiries from prospective students and the tactical automations of enquiry conversion strategies.

THE PERSON WE SEEK MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

• Bachelor’s degree – Digital and /or Marketing or a related field
• Proven work experience in a similar marketing role (preferably 1-3 years’ experience)
• Knowledge of digital, design and AVmarketing tools
• Experience with using search, website and digital analytics
• Experience in managing content schedules and social media networks
• Expertise with SEO/SEM campaign activation and management
• Solid computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe, Google, graphics and AV production.
• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management and website Content Management Systems
• Developed interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and constructively within a team
• Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects and effectively manage competing priorities
• Demonstrated community and alumni engagement
• Ability to manage a marketing crisis, such as negative publicity
