Location: Papua, Indonesia

Rotation: 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off

Shift Length: 12 hours

Compensation: Redpath offers a comprehensive wage and benefit package

Travel: Flights provided from point of hire to job site

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Promote safety and environmental awareness through an accountability program.

• Implement safety standards that will match or surpass Freeport’s expectations and maintain compliance with the Indonesian government regulations.

• Identify heavy equipment machines faults and perform repair

• Assemble new equipment.

• To make sure all tasks are done safely and efficiently

• Communicate with other departments to ensure services are provided efficiently.

• To train and evaluate PTRI Indonesian nationals in all aspects relating to heavy equipment maintenance. To instill a safe and productive culture, support and knowledge into all national trainees. Provide on the job and off the job training to direct subordinates

• The ability to enhance national trainees’ stronger points and to help him with his weaker points for the betterment of his training.

• To maintain control of various situations under unusual circumstances and motivate others

• To establish and maintain equipment service and maintenance schedules.

• To adhere to and maintain records related to component change outs and consumption.

• To actively lease with material coordinators regarding usage and acquisition of replacement parts.

• To Maintain accurate records related to IHC’s and dressing reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in underground mining

• Recognized trade certificate, in the maintenance or repair field, from country of origin

• Documented maintenance experience of 10 years

• Documented heavy equipment maintenance of 5 years

• Full working knowledge of Mechanical assembly, Hydraulic and Electrical Systems.

• Must be able to read and interpret Mechanical, Hydraulic and electrical schematics related to the type of equipment being worked on.

• The ability to work, motivate and understand the needs of a multinational workforce.

• Mechanical qualifications relevant to the position from their country of origin.

• General understanding of warehousing and stock control.

• Mechanical skills and knowledge of mechanical systems

• Raisebore troubleshooting
• Manual and computerized diagnostic methods.
